Via Verde, in the South Bronx, will have 201 apartment units and will be a green building with solar panels, rainwater systems, and residential vegetable gardens. The project is part of Mayor Bloomberg's goal of achieving 165,000 affordable housing units by 2014. Via Verde marks the 100,000th unit towards this achievement.
