White Plains CourtyardRSS

A $27 million housing and retail complex is replacing an old gas station in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx. The 120,000-square-foot, seven-story apartment building meets affordable housing guidelines, with ten percent of its space designed to house the homeless. The project was funded by the New York State Brownfields Cleanup Program, and will have a 16,000 square foot Staples office supplies store at its base.

New Development Provides Hope in Morris Park

A new housing development is transforming something the Bronx has in abundance - contaminated industrial land - into something the entire city needs more of - affordable housing. White Plains Courtyard, a $27million project, will transform a former Shell gas station site in Morris Park into a modern, 100-unit affordable housing complex and retail center.
