In a statement, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz expressed support for the Domino Sugar Factory plan and suggested that height limits are incorporated into the project. In addition, Markowitz requested more affordable housing, increased transportation options, a school and a supermarket. On April 28th, the City Planning Commission will host a public hearing on the project and the City Council will vote on the plan over the summer.
