New York University is trying to resolve a landmarks violation claim over placing signage at the Silver Towers buildings, which is landmarked. A representative from the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) stated that NYU should have consulted with the commission before installing the signs. NYU is currently working with the LPC to determine what corrective action should be taken.
