City planners have proposed new zoning for 257 blocks in northern Flushing to ensure that future development matches the neighborhood character. The plan includes several different types of zoning and will be discussed at a joint CB 7 and CB 11 public hearing. The plan would replace zoning that dates from 1962, and will make it harder to build out-of-scale homes, on-family lots. It also sets a 25-foot maximum wall height and a maximum roof height of 35 feet.
