In a public statement read at public hearing on Thursday March 11th, Councilman Steve Levin (D-Williamsburg) opposed the Domino Sugar plan. In agreement with Community Board 1's decision, Levin sites the over 6,000 residents that will be added to the site with no provision for an enhanced transportation plan.

New Bidders for Aqueduct

The revenue stream that casinos are known to generate makes the future of Aqueduct more alluring despite concerns from State Senator Frank Padavan (D) that the casino will negatively impact the financial stability of residents in surrounding communities.

Neighborhood Association Files Petition against MoMA Tower

The group claims the project’s environmental impact statement did not adequately take into account the structure’s impact on nearby buildings.

Atlantic Yards Groundbreaking Draws Dignitaries, Protesters
