The 46-story Trump SoHo tower opened on Friday. Eager guests expressed excitement at the views and the décor, but a representative from the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation complained that the tall building stuck out “like a sore thumb.” Developer Donald Trump lauded the building’s height and credited the views as an important factor in the project’s success.

The long-awaited Trump Soho condominium and hotel is schedule to open Friday. The project is one of the largest properties to be developed recently. It is the first downtown hotel for Trump.

While Trump SoHo is set to open on April 9th, the condominium-hotel stands largely vacant. Trump SoHo has only one-third of its units in contract even though it had a lot of highly interested investors back in 2006. The closing process for the units in contract will not begin until after the hotel's opening.

Trump Soho's opening date has been set for April 9th, 2010. The hotel was originally set to open at the end of 2009 and then on February 1st, 2010. Closings for residential units at Trump Soho will begin in mid-April.

Trump Hotel Collection announced that the downtown hotel, Trump SoHo New York, will open on April 9, 2010.

Trump SoHo will not be opening on February 1st, as originally intended. It is unclear when the hotel will open. Despite the delay, preparations are still being made for the hotel's unveiling some time this spring.

As the Trump Soho development works towards its February opening date, the development has begun landscaping work as it has been moving in trees and pavers to create the hotel’s urban plaza. Though the hotel itself has been labeled an “ultra-luxury,” some state that the renovated landscape will only add to the development’s luxurious qualities.

The Trump SoHo building, which is set to open in February 2010, has maintained high unit prices of up to $3,000 per square foot. A representative from the building stated that fifty-five percent of the units from building phase one have been sold. This is about twenty-eight percent of the building's total planned units.

The Trump Soho condo-hotel will will open February 2010. Construction at the 42-story building is running on time and owners are optimistic about unit sales. Currently, about 55 percent of the building units have been sold.

The Trump SoHo Tower is expected to open this fall, but reports have surfaced that the developers have not sold many of the units, and are having trouble closing on the units that have sold. There is also speculation that the lender for the project may be seeking to sell the mortgage, and that it may be at risk of foreclosure.
